Meet the Owner

Hello! My name is Tamyron Kurilla-Moore.  I am a proud parent of two handsome sons (Charles & Justin), have the most awesome grandson ever (Cash), two adorable pets (Dakota & Buster) and have the most wonderful husband, Matt!

My story began in Glassboro, NJ, where I am the oldest of four siblings. I graduated from Glassboro High School.  There I was involved in many extracurricular activities from sports to Drama Club to Prom Committee. I am most proud of my role as captain of the Glassboro High School Boys Basketball team which won the Division 1 State Championship in 1994 and was inducted into the GHS Sports Hall of Fame. After GHS I went on to Rutgers University and graduated with a BA in Education followed by a degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Psychology and lastly the New York Institute of Art & Design. I also proudly served 13 years in the US Army and Army National Guard.

While serving in the Tennessee Army National Guard, I was an elementary school teacher in Nashville for three years then became the Program Director for the YMCA of Middle Tennessee running their before-and-after school program.  Eventually I moved on to become the Regional Director of Youth Community Action Project or YCAP.

After 17 years at the YMCA, I established this Event Planning and Mobile Bar Service Business - Events With ShaBars.  After five successful years In central Tennessee, I wanted to expand so I relocated to Wilmington, DE.  But the world had different plans for us all.   Instead of expanding my business, the world as we all know, CLOSED due to the Covid-19 pandemic and I returned to the world of education as a substitute teacher working virtually with students.

At the start of the 2020 school year, I started teaching at a small private school in Pennsylvania. And in 2021 I moved to the charming Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia and reestablished Events With ShaBars.
